Children are growing up in a screen saturated environment with devices available at their fingertips and the Internet is not the same as it once was.

Parents may hear they need to limit screen time, but do they understand WHY?

Research has shown too much screen time can negatively impact a child’s development during the critical early years, which means it's more important than ever to preserve play time and set healthy boundaries.

Kailan can encourage parents to place healthy boundaries around screens in a non-judgmental way. She also will tailor her presentation to fit the age of the students of the school.

The presentation lasts for an hour plus time for Q&A.

Testimonial

Kailan Carr was an engaging and knowledgeable guest speaker for our preschool families.

She shared current research around the importance of hands-on play in a way that was thorough but clear, gave guidelines for limiting screen time, then moved on to share many ideas for screen free play using photos and narratives.

Her enthusiasm for the subject made the presentation fun to attend.  Thank you for presenting for us, Kailan!
